Engineer Gustav Eifell temporarily built the tower of the 1889 Universal Exhibition, which was opened to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the French Revolution. The construction, in which hundreds of workers worked, was completed in 2 years and 2 months. The tower, which is 324 meters tall with its antenna, is 80 floors high. The tower maintains its well-maintained state with 60 tons of paint every 7 years. The tower is built on three separate platforms. There are restaurants and a museum on the first and second platforms, which can be reached by elevator and steps on three separate platforms. Currently, an ice skating rink is being built, which can be used by 80 athletes. on the third platform there is a magnificent view of Paris. In clear weather, you can see 72 km away. Gustav Eiffel’s office is located on this platform. The people did not like the tower at all when it was built, although the decision to demolish it was taken, it has become one of the most important touristic structures in the world and hosts millions of visitors every year.
